Former Miami Hurricanes star women’s basketball player Haley Cavinder and Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson made headlines in April when they announced their engagement. The couple has since started to make their preparations for their wedding. However, they have not announced a date, and as a result, it is unlikely to take place before the 2025 NFL season.
Fortunately for the couple, they do not need to worry about the cost of the wedding. On Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys announced that they had extended Jake Ferguson and signed him to a four-year, $52 million contract. The news was posted by the NFL Instagram account.

This news was taken by Haley Cavinder and reposted to her Instagram story, where she gave her heartfelt congratulations to her soon-to-be husband.
“So proud of you! No one more deserving… go ferg & go Cowboys,” she wrote.
Cavinder also reposted a post to her Instagram story from the Dallas Cowboys Instagram account, where they shared several photos of Ferguson after announcing his contract extension.
Haley Cavinder Shares a “Get Ready With Me” Video Before Going Wedding Dress Shopping
Jake Ferguson was likely busy over the past few days finalizing the details of his contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys. His fiancée, Haley Cavinder, was busy for other reasons.
On Friday, she shared a “Get Ready With Me” video on the Cavinder Twins Instagram account. In the video, she gave some details on the wedding planning process and visiting her family.
“Get ready with me to go try on wedding dresses for the first time,” Haley Cavinder said. “Hopefully, we can say yes to the dress. Let’s get into it. Hanna and I flew in yesterday to meet my family in Fort Lauderdale for the weekend and go do all things wedding.”

Cavinder went on to joke that she is an indecisive person, and as a result, wedding dress shopping might be difficult for her. Fortunately for the 24-year-old, she flew to visit her family, and as a result, she likely had plenty of help through the process.
While the Cavinder twins currently reside in Florida, it is unclear whether that will be the case during the NFL season.
Jake Ferguson plays in Dallas, and as a result, Haley Cavinder might move to Texas to be with her fiancee, although she has not said explicitly whether that is the case.
