Iowa vs. Baylor Women’s Basketball Prediction, Starting Lineup And Injury Report Ft. Hannah Stuelke

The Iowa Hawkeyes and Baylor Bears are set to compete in an important early-season matchup. The No. 19-ranked Iowa Hawkeyes will host the No. 7-ranked Baylor Lady Bears on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET. Here is everything you need to know about the matchup.

    Iowa vs. Baylor Prediction

Both teams are entering this game with undefeated 4-0 records. The Hawkeyes are coming off a dominant 74-41 win over Northern Iowa on Sunday. They have not been challenged in any of their four games, winning by 30 points or more in all four outings.

Similarly, the Bears have not had much of an issue to start the season. They are coming off a 99-43 win over Le Moyne on Sunday. However, they have had a few close games. Notably, they only defeated UNLV by eight points and Duke by six points.

So, while Baylor is the higher-ranked team, it is also the team that has struggled more against lesser competition. So, we favor Iowa to win this game. The Hawkeyes have been better to start the season, and they also have home-court advantage.

    Iowa Starting Lineup

The Hawkeyes have stuck with the same starting lineup all year. So, there is no reason to expect it to change.

    • G: Kylie Feuerbach
    • G: Taylor McCabe
    • G: Chazadi Wright
    • F: Hannah Stuelke
    • C: Ava Heiden

    Baylor Starting Lineup

The Bears have also used the same starting lineup for all four games. So, we see no reason to predict that they will mix things up.

    • G: Bella Fontleroy
    • G: Taliah Scott
    • G: Jana Van Gytenbeek
    • F: Darianna Littlepage-Buggs
    • F: Kiersten Johnson

    Iowa vs. Baylor Injury Report

It is still early in the season, and as a result, injuries have not been much of an issue for either team. The Bears have not dealt with any significant injuries and do not have any players on their injury report.

The Hawkeyes dealt with an early-season ankle injury to Teagan Mallegni. She missed the first two games of the season, but then was able to return for the past two games for the Hawkeyes. She has been given limited minutes, appearing in only 14 total over the past two games.
