Flau’jae Johnson is using this offseason to her level best in preparing for the upcoming college basketball season. The LSU star’s latest Instagram post shows her practicing in UCLA’s training facility, in collaboration with Fast Basketball Academy. Even in a practice, Johnson was hooping like a pro, taking tough shots and slinging floaters like a breeze.

Johnson’s boyfriend, Chris Hilton Jr., did not miss the moment to show her some love. Hilton Jr. posted hearts in the comments, showing how he’s always supportive of his bae continuing with her efforts to become better at the sport each day.

Now, seeing Flau’jae Johnson practicing at a UCLA training facility had some fans wondering if she was looking to transfer to play for the Bruins next season. Well, that’s not the case.
Flau’jae is committed to LSU, and this was yet another training session for her while she was on the road. Professional hoopers practicing in training facilities of other teams is a common phenomenon in the NBA, WNBA and even college basketball.
This year, Johnson opted to skip the 2025 WNBA draft and return to college basketball for her senior season. She chose to return to LSU, giving the program a major boost to continue building a roster around her and Mikaylah Williams. The Tigers seem hungry to get back to the top, with Johnson and Williams leading the team in the upcoming college basketball season.

Earlier this month, Flau’jae Johnson successfully helped Team USA secure the gold medal in the FIBA AmeriCup. After coming back from Chile, the 2003 NCAA champion received a sweet surprise in the form of a rose bouquet from boyfriend Chris Hilton Jr. The bouquet also featured a note from Hilton, which read:
“You deserve the world And I plan to give you just that. here’s a small gift to show how much you mean to me. i love you.”
Expressing her delight, Johnson wrote a heartfelt message thanking her beau on her Instagram page.:
“I couldn’t stop smiling. thank you so much for always supporting me and making my days special even when you can’t be there. i love you ❤️ @c.hiltonjr.”
