“Not Doing Anymore Interviews”: LSU Star Flau’jae Johnson Blasts Shannon Sharpe’s ‘Club Shay Shay’ Over Viral A’ja Wilson Clip

LSU star Flau’jae Johnson is not very happy with Shannon Sharpe, as her interview with him during his show, “Club Shay Shay,” allegedly misconstrued what she said regarding a question about A’ja Wilson. Many people took her answer that WNBA players could not physically beat NBA players as a shot on Wilson, therefore resulting in some fans blasting her over it.

This had Wilson reacting to the now-viral clip on social media:

“This is what yall mad about bruh ?? My opinion? I never spoke on the goat A’ja, I just gave MY OPINION. Yall just want a reason to hate me at this point man🤦‍♀️ im so over sm,” she tweeted.

One fan agreed that Shannon Sharpe’s show did her dirty with the clip, and this had her admitting that the situation is messy and added that she would not want to do interviews anymore.

“Yeah that was messy, I’m not doing anymore interviews,” she told the fan.

Several fans slammed the LSU guard thinking that she was slamming Wilson, even though Johnson was just stating her opinion on the difference in physicality of men and women.

Meanwhile, as her summer break continues, Flau’jae Johnson went back to her hometown of Savannah and gave back to her community. She hosted her third annual back-to-school giveback weekend last Friday and Saturday at the Enmarket Arena as she helped provide not just school supplies, but also health services for her community.

The two-day charity drive saw school supplies being given away, as well as health screenings that provided a mobile mammography unit that screened for breast cancer to underserved communities in Georgia. It was part of a larger effort to make breast cancer screenings more accessible to low income communities.

In addition, Flau’jae Johnson, known to the rap world as just Flau’jae, performed live in front of fans. The rapper/basketball star also teamed up with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and they presented a donation check to the St. Joseph’s/Candler mobile mammography unit, which did the breast cancer screenings for the event.
