LSU Tigers star Flau’Jae Johnson is part of a power couple at LSU. While she is a star on the women’s basketball team, her boyfriend, Chris Hilton Jr, is a star wide receiver on the football team. On Tuesday, the LSU football Instagram account made a post, recognizing Hilton as the “Freak of the Week.”
“Freak of the Week No. 4 of 2025 is Chris Hilton Jr.”

Flau’Jae Johnson was quick to reply in the comments, supporting her boyfriend with three heart emojis.

Chris Hilton Jr. is entering his fifth college season. He has been a member of the Tigers for four seasons but has received limited playing time each year. This past year, he appeared in six games, making nine receptions for 242 yards and three TDs.

While this photo was posted on Christmas, the relationship was likely going on for at least several months before that, if not longer. In the images, the couple appears very close, holding hands with big smiles on their faces.
The couple has not been hesitant to post about each other since then. They have made many appearances on each other’s Instagram stories in recent months, including at family events.
Being in a relationship has not stopped Johnson from becoming one of the biggest stars in women’s college basketball. This past season, her third with LSU, she averaged 18.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.7 steals per game. She emerged as one of the best players in women’s college basketball and is expected to further assert herself in that position as a senior.
Heading into her senior season, Johnson is one of the contenders to be the first pick in the 2026 WNBA draft. In late April, ESPN conducted an early ranking of prospects ahead of next year’s draft. UCLA’s Lauren Betts is the early favorite to be the first pick, but Johnson is not far behind in the No. 5 spot. With a strong season, she could certainly emerge as a contender to be the first pick next year.
