LSU Tigers senior Flau’jae Johnson has given support to MiLaysia Fulwiley, who has joined from a rival program. On Monday, Oct. 27, Johnson shared LSU’s Instagram post on her story. It showed a graphic of the South Carolina Gamecocks transfer student, who recently won an honor.
The post by @lsuwbkb revealed that Fulwiley has won the Point Guard of the Year award ahead of the 2025-26 college hoops season. This comes as Fulwiley has been ramping up for her first year with coach Kim Mulkey’s Tigers program, which has been one of the biggest rivals of her former team, coach Dawn Staley’s Gamecocks.
“@laywitdabutter yo world twin,” Johnson captioned with a fingers crossed emoji.

Fulwiley will make her LSU debut in the team’s first game on Tuesday, Nov. 4, in a non-conference matchup against the Houston Christian Huskies on their home floor, the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Alongside Johnson, Fulwiley and the rest of the Tigers will look to improve on the squad’s 31-6 overall record (12-4 SEC) and NCAA Elite Eight berth in the 2024-25 season.

Flau’jae Johnson On Likely Her Final Year With The LSU Tigers
Last week, Flau’jae Johnson uploaded a carousel post to her Instagram account that encapsulated her thoughts ahead of her fourth and likely final year with the LSU Tigers in the upcoming 2025-26 season. The post included a lengthy and heartfelt message from Johnson in the caption, all while showcasing photos in her Tigers uniform.
“Wow, I can’t believe it’s been 4 years. From the first time I stepped on that PMAC floor to now every moment has shaped me into who I am today. The highs, the lows, the lessons and the love have all been part of this beautiful journey. Today, I get to step out there for my final season and it feels so bittersweet. I’m proud of the work I’ve put in but even more proud of the growth the mindset and the heart that came with it,” Johnson wrote.
“This season means more than words can explain. Thank you to everyone who’s supported me since day one, I love y’all more than you know. And to the non believers, thank you in advance. Let’s Geaux, one last lap 🐯💜💛 #OneOfAKind,” she concluded.
