Flau’jae Johnson is one of the best players in women’s college basketball at present. With Kim Mulkey at LSU, Flau’jae has had a great opportunity to build her skill set. She won the national championship alongside Angel Reese in the 2022-23 season. That was LSU’s first NCAA title in its history.
Johnson was one of, if not the best, players on that team. In the past 2 years, Johnson has developed both on and off the court. She is now the leader of the LSU Tigers. Kim Mulkey has placed her trust in Johnson. She will enter her senior year and has her eyes set on the 2026 WNBA draft already.

Recently, Johnson set her ambitions straight. She made it clear that her goal for next year is to be the first draft pick. Johnson is currently ranked at 5th in the 2026 mock draft. If that pans out, she is set to reunite with ex-LSU teammate Angel Reese at the Chicago Sky. However, as per Flau’jae’s aim for the 2026 WNBA draft, that is, first pick, she would get to partner up with 2025’s first pick, Paige Bueckers.

Fans React to Flau’jae Johnson’s Ambition for 1st Pick in The WNBA Draft
Fans liked Flau’jae’s belief in herself. However, many did not agree that she could end at the top spot.
“Love Flau but we all know Azzi’s going number 1,” one fan said.
“I love to see how much Flau has grown over her college career, her dedication is impressive,” one fan admired.
“I know she won’t still be on the board at 7, but man I would freak out if we got Flaujae as our first draft pick in Portland!!!! Omg that would make my year!!” One fan hoped.
“She better be because I’m ready for her to join the WNBA. making the roster of the team that drafts her. Calling it,” one fan hyped up Flau’jae.
“Azzi is going to be the top pick so she can play alongside Paige. I say she’ll be 2nd or go to either Toronto or Portland,” one fan stated.
