Flau’jae Johnson Disputing A’ja Wilson’s Gender Debate Claim Draws Strong Reaction From Knicks’ $80,915,280 Superstar

Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson recently sparked a gender debate by claiming that she can beat New York Knicks star Josh Hart in a 1‑on‑1 matchup during her appearance on the Roommates Show.

This has sparked strong reactions from several basketball players and analysts alike. LSU Tigers Flau’jae Johnson was the latest to chime in on the debate during her appearance on Club Shay Shay podcast hosted by former NFL legend Shannon Sharpe.

“I just don’t… it’s not physically possible,” Johnson said. “You know what I’m saying? Like, I could barely grab rim—you’re talking about over the backboard. But, like, no NBA player… no.”

Under the above Instagram post, Hart, who is on a four-year, $81 million contract, shared his verdict on how he would’ve matched up against Wilson.

“Game to 11. It’s for sure 11-3 me,” Hart commented.

In the above podcast, Shannon Sharpe tried to make things interesting by saying how top five WNBA players, including Breanna Stewart, Napheesa Collier, and A’ja Wilson, would match up against the 12th, 13th and 14th player of the NBA. Johnson answered:

“You know how hard it is to get in the NBA? Literally, I got a new appreciation for Summer League. I’m like, all these guys are playing for, like, one or two spots. And these guys are booming, and they’re seven-footers. But I can’t get in that argument because I know I can’t. I’ll tell you that. Like, you’re six-eight and the point guard. What am I about to do? I’m 5’10”, almost 5’11”, right?”

What Exactly Did A’ja Wilson say during her Conversation with Josh Hart?

It was an interesting conversation between A’ja Wilson and Josh Hart this week. While discussing about the one-on-one matchup between the two, the Aces star said:

“[It] would be like 8 to 11, me… I get ball first? Yeah, you’re not going to get it back.”

“I’m not saying you’re going to go scoreless, but 8 to 11 I feel like is pretty solid,” she added. “So what do you think you’ll be, Josh? Don’t piss me off.”

Hart wasn’t going down, saying he would win the matchup 11 to 2 before giving Wilson some courtesy saying it will be 11-7. Wilson then asserted:

“Okay, that’s fair,” said Wilson. “You got 7? Okay.”

This isn’t the first time Wilson has sparked this debate. Earlier, during an interview with Time Magazine, she said that she is confident in herself that she can take down any NBA star on the basketball court.
