Miami women’s college basketball debuted their latest Fear of God uniforms and “Court Green” Basketball 2 PE shoes in their 82-46 blowout defeat to Notre Dame on Thursday, Feb. 20, which got college hoop fans talking.

Nice Kicks posted a series of photos of the new kits on Instagram on Friday, Feb. 21, with the caption:
“The Miami Hurricanes Women’s Basketball Team debuted their new Fear of God uniforms and “Court Green” Basketball 2 PE against Notre Dame 🔥.”

However, many fans were unimpressed with the new PE and took to their comment section to say the shoes would likely cause some ankle injuries.
“They rolling their ankles in these fr,” a fan wrote.
“Those shoes don’t look like they’re made to hoop in,” another fan wrote.
“Ankles on life support,” a fan commented.
“These tough but look like one layup away from a ankle injury,” another fan commented.
However, other fans expressed their love for the new kits.
“🔥🔥 Need a pair for the gym and store runs,” a fan commented.
“Sold! Put those on the market now!” Another fan wrote.
“Finally something worth a purchase from this collab!!!’ A fan wrote.
Miami women’s college basketball was outmatched by the Fighting Irish, who recorded a commanding 82-42 victory at the Watsco Center, extending their win streak to 19 games.
Miami guard Haley Cavinder, who put up an outstanding 27-point performance against Florida State, struggled against the Fighting Irish and only managed to finish the game with eight points. Her twin sister, Hanna, struggled as well, finishing with six.
However, the Irish guard trio of Hannah Hildago, Olivia Miles, and Sonia Citron combined for 51 points, with Citron leading the way with 19 points and eight rebounds. Hildago had 18 points, while Miles contributed 14 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.

“They share the ball really, really well, and all of them can shoot the three,” UM coach Tricia Cullop said of the Irish. “They’ve got lineups out there where at least four of the five are shooting threes. They have three of the best guards in the country, but they’re unselfish. They’re not afraid to make the extra pass to get the best shot.”
The Hurricanes have now slipped to 13-13 and 3-12 in the conference and are clinging to the final spot in the ACC Tournament with three games remaining in the regular season.
