Fans on social media have had mixed reactions to South Carolina Gamecocks coach Dawn Staley attending a concert and posing with a music superstar. On Saturday, coach Staley posted a series of photos on her X/Twitter wherein she and her closed ones are seen posing with pop and hip hop singer Chris Brown as they attended the Cumberland, Georgia concert of his “Breezy Bowl XX” tour all over the country.
But, given Brown’s past history of allegations and cases made against him revolving around allegedly physically and verbally abusing women, several fans and spectators of Staley are not to keen on seeing the three-time national champion coach alongside Brown.

College fans and spectators then called out Staley on social media for attending Brown’s concert and posting photos with him as he presumably has a controversial history.
“Dawn, I’m such a huge fan but this is extremely disappointing. He has abused women over and over again. He doesn’t deserve your support,” one fan claimed.
“I recently finished your book, you are incredible inspiring. But this gives me the ick, he has a history of abusing women, the same women you champion for. How would you feel if he dated on of your players and treated her the way he has treated others?,” another fan questioned.
“Dawn, we love you…But hanging out with a serial abuser is a bit sketchy,” another user said.
“Come onnnn, Dawn. It wasn’t just Ri either. He has a pattern of hurting women & won’t stop. Not a person I’d imagine you associating with,” a fan shared.
Other users were just glad to see the unlikely pairing of coach Staley and an established pop star like Brown.
“Dawn!! Where is the VIP photo with CBreezy!!,” one fan exclaimed.
“I hope you told him to come back to Columbia next time lol,” another fan wrote.
“That’s what I love to see,” a fan posted.
Brown has since continued his tour all around the United States with his most recent stop at the Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas and will now prepare for his next sets that revolve around cities in the state such as Houston and Phoenix. For Staley, she continues to prepare for her 18th year at the helm of the Gamecocks coaching staff in the upcoming 2025-26 season.

Along with the photos that Dawn Staley posted that show her taking flicks with her close ones and Chris Brown, she has also shared a video on her X/Twitter account of a clip of Brown during his concert. In the video, Brown is seen wearing a hat and jacket, reminiscent of late music icon Michael Jackson, which is a trait that Staley pointed out in her upload.
She wrote in the video post:
“I don’t get to go to many concerts but @chrisbrown you’re doing your big one here in ATL! You had me with this outfit…thought you were channeling your inner Coming to America but nope….MJ! 🤣🤣🤣 Excellent show! Incredibly talented. It’s true you don’t stop dancing! Salute!”
