UConn women’s basketball has released its entire non-conference schedule in the 2025-26 season, and fans are already losing it. The match-ups are elite, the storylines are loaded, and once again, Geno Auriemma is not ducking anyone.

The official schedule, which was posted by @uconnwbb, includes the matchups against some of the most consistent powers, such as Louisville, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Notre Dame. There is also a November 16 game against Ohio State and a late November game against Utah that is in Salt Lake City. The Huskies will wrap up the calendar year with two consecutive headline games: Iowa on December 20 and Notre Dame on January 19.
Social media did not spare it. Responses came in quickly — as did the expectations.
“YESSSS CANT WAITT,” one fan shouted.
“Looks like I’ll be flying,” another replied with a crying emoji.
“Stoked to see the game against USC as a UConn fan in Cali — I’m excited to get those tickets,” one supporter shared.
“Whoaaaa,” someone added with a fire emoji.
“SOOO READYYY,” another fan wrote, clearly hyped.
“Holy loaded,” one person commented, reacting to the full slate.
“I’ve GOTTA make it to one of these bruh,” another user said
The remarks were not confined to praising the typical bluebloods. Others lauded the total slate as being even and tense. The fans are aware: this is not a team that is taking things lightly.
Looking Ahead to UConn’s 2025–26 Statement Season
The 2025-26 non-conference schedule is not only competitive, it is rife with potential statement games with Azzi Fudd back to lead a battle-tested Huskies roster.
A few matchups stand out specifically. The November 16 matchup against Ohio State will carry with it early postseason intensity. UConn will also see Louisville and go to South Carolina, both physical, high-end teams that will test the Huskies on both ends.
The December 13 visit to USC is a showdown game on the West Coast that could have huge tournament implications, particularly with JuJu Watkins expected to be the anchor of the Trojans. And when Notre Dame comes to town in January, it will be another great episode in a classic rivalry.
There is no doubt that the team led by Auriemma is not ducking anyone, and people love it. This schedule not only makes UConn ready to go into March. It puts them to the test at each stage. The defending champions are sending a clear message this year and will look to repeat, the hard way.
