“We Need You To Coach Dallas”: Fan Calls For Azzi Fudd’s Dad To Take Over $250,000,000 Worth Franchise In Hilarious Livestream Moment

UConn Huskies star Azzi Fudd recently responded to a hilarious comment in a recent livestream on TikTok. On Saturday, Aug. 23, @wnbagotgame uploaded a clip from user @pbuckets67 on X/Twitter that shows Fudd with her family and close ones in the aforementioned livestream.

The clip shows Fudd noticing a comment by one of her fans, who calls her father, Tim, to be the next head coach of the WNBA franchise, the Dallas Wings, a team that was recently listed by Forbes with the sixth-highest worth in the league at a current value of $250 million.

The fan’s hilarious reaction during the livestream was caught by Azzi Fudd and her close ones. “Tim, we need you to coach Dallas,” the comment read, with Azzi Fudd saying, “Exactly why we don’t need to read all of the comments.” Tim Fudd then laughed in response to both the comment and his daughter’s reaction.

The Wings, coached by Chris Koclanes, have uncorked a 9-28 record thus far in the 2025 WNBA season, placing them dead last in the whole league, as they have been eliminated from playoff contention already. The team is headlined by rookie Paige Bueckers, the former teammate and girlfriend of Azzi Fudd, which is where the fan’s sarcastic comment of Tim Fudd may stem the connection from.

Tim Fudd played college basketball for the American University Eagles

Per Sports Reference, Tim Fudd played five years of college basketball as a forward from 1991 to 1996 for the American Eagles. The older Fudd exhausted all five years of his collegiate hoops eligibility, with his best campaign coming in the 1993-94 season when he averaged 19.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.2 steals a game. His cumulative averages then saw him put up 11.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 0.9 steals per contest.

For now, he is seeing his daughter, Azzi, become a star with coach Geno Auriemma’s UConn Huskies and is coming off her fourth year with the team, wherein they won the 2025 NCAA championship after defeating the 2024 national champions South Carolina Gamecocks by 23 points, 82-59. Fudd now enters her final season in the 2025-26 campaign, looking to win consecutive NCAA titles.
