“She’s Not as Crazy as She Seems on TV”: MiLaysia Fulwiley Shares Candid Thoughts Into Kim Mulkey’s Coaching Style

LSU Tigers guard MiLaysia Fulwiley recently shared her candid thoughts on her new coach in her new program during an interview. On Wednesday, Nov. 19, in a carousel post by @brwsports on Instagram, Fulwiley appears on the “We Need To Talk” podcast and was asked about her move to LSU, as she is no longer with the South Carolina Gamecocks, her former team.

One of the most attention-grabbing questions asked of Fulwiley was how her experience under the tutelage of coach Kim Mulkey has been so far. For Fulwiley, it boils down to the fact that she is actually not as polarizing or sporadic as individuals perceive her to be, and that she acts that way at times to motivate her players.

“ One thing that kind of surprised me to start off is, probably, she’s not as crazy as it seems like on TV, it is not as crazy as it seems. But, one thing I kind of like the most about her is definitely how she kind of gives you that second booth of confidence and motivates all of her players, even if you’re not even playing. Like she motivates everybody to just be their best version of their self, and she doesn’t really try to change you in any certain way,” Fulwiley explained.

“She just try to makes you better. And I think that kind of helps not only me, but the whole team. And, you can kind of see everyone. Confidence is just really high because of her, honestly,” she added.
