Ohio State’s Cotie McMahon, a two-time All-Big Ten forward, has officially entered the NCAA transfer portal. The standout player, who helped lead the Buckeyes over the past three seasons, averaged 15.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in Columbus.
McMahon, an AP honorable mention All-American the last two years and 2023 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, entered the portal days after No. 4 Ohio State’s 82-67 NCAA Tournament loss to No. 5 Tennessee.

5 Transfer Landing Spots for Cotie McMahon
McMahon has officially entered the NCAA transfer portal, making her one of the most sought-after players this offseason.
With one year of eligibility left, multiple programs will pursue the two-time All-Big Ten selection, who averaged 16.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and shot 37.4% from 3-point range last season.
1) LSU Tigers
LSU stands out as a top contender, especially with Aneesah Morrow moving on. McMahon could step in and form a dominant frontcourt with Flau’Jae Johnson, providing the Tigers with an elite scoring and rebounding duo as they chase another national championship.
2) USC Trojans
With Kiki Iriafen’s departure, USC has a key opening in its lineup. Pairing McMahon with JuJu Watkins could create one of the most formidable duos in the country, giving the Trojans the firepower to compete for a deep postseason run.
3) TCU Horned Frogs
TCU is an intriguing option, as they need to replace multiple key players, including Sedona Prince. McMahon’s scoring ability and versatility could immediately fill that void, making her a valuable asset for the Horned Frogs.
4) Florida State Seminoles
Florida State is looking for a strong scoring presence after the graduation of Makayla Timpson. McMahon’s ability to contribute offensively and on the boards would help the Seminoles remain competitive in the ACC.
5) Texas Longhorns
Texas has a history of utilizing skilled forwards, and with two senior bigs departing, McMahon could seamlessly integrate into the lineup. Her experience and production would boost the Longhorns’ championship hopes in the Big 12.
