Chloe Kitts Drops 4-Word Reaction As Teammate Tessa Johnson Shares Moonlit Snap With Heartfelt Note

South Carolina Gamecocks forward Chloe Kitts is heading into her final college season as one of the biggest stars in women’s college basketball. As a member of the Gamecocks for the past three seasons, she has steadily improved and is now a top prospect for the 2026 WNBA draft.

Kitts is loved by the South Carolina fanbase for her play on the court. However, she is also loved off the court by her teammates because of who she is as a friend. On Saturday, Kitts’ teammate, Tessa Johnson, posted a TikTok that included a photo of the two together. Written on the slides was a heartfelt tribute to her friend.

“I don’t need no money…” Johnson wrote on the first slide.

The first photo included a photo of Johnson in casual clothes in her car. On the second slide, there was a moonlit photo of Johnson and Kitts together with their cheeks touching as they made kissing faces to the camera. Johnson included a heartfelt message to her friend on the slide.

“You’re worth more than diamonds, more than gold,” Johnson wrote.

Chloe Kitts responded with a heartfelt four-word comment:

“Bouta shed a tear,” Chloe Kitts wrote.

Johnson and Kitts have been teammates on the Gamecocks for the past two seasons. This past year, Kitts averaged 10.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. Meanwhile, Johnson averaged 8.4 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.

Chloe Kitts and Tessa Johnson Prepare for Their Final Season Together

Chloe Kitts and Tessa Johnson will be college teammates for one more season. Afterward, Kitts will enter the 2026 WNBA draft, where she is projected to be one of the top picks.

In April, ESPN analyst Michael Voepel posted an early ranking of the top 15 senior college prospects in women’s basketball. While Kitts did not rank at the very top of the list, she was included as the No. 10-ranked player. However, she was not even the highest-ranking Gamecocks star on the list.

Ta’Niya Latson, who transferred from Florida State to South Carolina in the offseason, was the No. 4-ranked player on the list. The two players will team up for head coach Dawn Staley next season. They will be expected to carry a lot of the offensive load next season as they try to set themselves up to get selected high in the 2026 WNBA draft.

Chloe Kitts will be familiar with a draft environment after watching her boyfriend, Collin Murray-Boyles, get drafted by the Toronto Raptors in the spring.
