South Carolina Gamecocks guard Raven Johnson is currently enjoying the college basketball offseason. On Sunday, July 6, she uploaded a series of photos on her Instagram account that showcase her sporting a brown bikini with white outlines, as she poses by the side of a seaside villa.
This prompted several of Johnson’s Gamecocks teammates to gush over her and show support in the comments section. The 22-year-old has just wrapped her fourth year of collegiate hoops with coach Dawn Staley’s squad, as she now decides on the future of her budding career.

The Gamecocks faithful who dropped positive comments on Johnson’s upload include both current and former players of the women’s basketball team.
“Fine shytt,” standout stalwart Chloe Kitts wrote.

“Hiii sweetieee,” now WNBA rookie Bree Hall wrote with heart-eyes emojis.

“Turn around pleaseeeee,” incoming junior Tessa Johnson said with emojis.

“Baddieeee,” incoming freshman Ta’Niya Latson shared with emojis.

Sophomore Adhel Tac posted a couple of heart-eyes emojis.

“Ray Ray,” fellow senior Maryam Dauda exclaimed with emojis.

Johnson and the rest of the Gamecocks finished the 2024-25 season with an overall record of 35-4 (15-1, SEC) and won both the 2025 SEC regular season championship and conference tournament title.
Raven Johnson is Interested in Playing Out a Fifth Year With the South Carolina Gamecocks
In a video posted by “FOX Carolina News” on YouTube on April 7 of this year, Raven Johnson was asked about her future after her fourth year of college basketball with the South Carolina Gamecocks in the 2024-25 season.
This is because just before the interview, Johnson and the Gamecocks were spoiled of their 2024 national title defense against the UConn Huskies, losing by 23 points, 82-59.
“Continuing a winning habit, like you said, making it to the Final Four all my years. I think, you know, that’s big, like a lot of people can’t say they been here four years in the Final Four and not even Final Four, national championships. So, I say that’s big, that’s the legacy and you never know, I might come back. So, it probably wasn’t the end,” Johnson said. (0:01)
When Johnson was asked if the national championship game loss affected her decision, the veteran said:
“Kind of, yeah. It did, kind of. It’s making me think of it a bit because I would love to end on a good note.”
As a member of the 2022 and 2024 national title-winning Gamecocks, Johnson has averaged 5.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.5 steals a game.
