Caitlin Clark’s Teammate’s $20 Shirt Nearly Sells Out in 48 Hours After Iconic Pregame Fit Before Fever vs. Sky

Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever teammate Sophie Cunningham has shot up in fame after she resisted those who troubled the former Iowa Hawkeyes standout during a game earlier this season. It’s no surprise that even a casual food review done by her has led to a full-blown marketing sensation.

Four months ago, Cunningham casually reviewed Arby’s on TikTok. On Sunday, she strutted into the Fever’s Barbie Night matchup against the Chicago Sky wearing a bold red-and-white crop top that read:

    “HOT GIRLS EAT ARBY’S.”

That same shirt has gone hit overnight, with reports telling that the shirt, which sells for $20, has been sold out within 48 hours of her pregame appearance. A former Iowa graduate shared the news on X:

“Sophie Cunningham’s Arby’s shirt has sold out in Small, Medium, and Large in less than 2 days. She is selling major product for @Arbys. This is the beginning of a legendary partnership.”

Two days ago, Sophie Cunningham posted her now-iconic game-night fit to Instagram with the caption:

“look who has the meats now”

Sophie Cunningham’s Fierce Defense of Caitlin Clark Sparks Controversy and Viral Fame

Sophie Cunningham saw her followers count increase across all social media platforms after the game on June 17 between the Indiana Fever and the Connecticut Sun. During the game, Caitlin Clark was poked in the eye and also shoved to the floor in separate incidents.

Cunningham retaliated in support of her teammate as she fouled Sun guard Jacy Sheldon. The confrontation escalated into a brawl, resulting in ejections for Cunningham, Sheldon and another Sun player.

After the game, Cunningham defended her actions while speaking out in respect of Clark’s pedigree in the WNBA.

“I’m not focused on the extracurricular activities,” Cunningham said. “During that, it was just part of the game. I think the refs had a lot to do with that. It was a build up for a couple years now of them just not protecting the star player of the WNBA. And so, at the end of the day, I’m going to protect my teammates … That’s what I do. I’m a team player, so it’s all good.”

Cunningham was fined $400 for the lunging foul and later fined $500 for a TikTok video referencing referees in a humorous caption. She called the fines “funny” in another video.

Currently, Cunningham is filling in as the starter role in Caitlin Clark’s absence, who is struggling through a groin injury.
