“In the Tube Next to Me” – Former Iowa Star Caitlin Clark Shares Inside Scoop on Recovery Time With Tyrese Haliburton

Former Iowa Hawkeyes star and current Indiana Fever All-Star Caitlin Clark gave an inside scoop about how her injury recovery process has been like alongside an NBA All-Star. In a video posted by @yahoosports on Instagram on Friday, July 11, Clark was asked during a media availability about her recovery has been given that she has been doing it alongside Indiana Pacers floor general and former Iowa State Cyclones guard Tyrese Haliburton.

Clark has since recovered from a groin injury that has sidelined her for the Fever’s last five games while Haliburton, coming off of a 2025 NBA Finals defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder in a thrilling best-of-seven series, is currently nursing his torn right Achilles that he suffered from the Pacers’ game seven loss.

“Well, it’s funny sometimes I’m at the hyperbaric chamber and I’m in one tube and Ty’s in the tube next to me. So, he’s like trying to get through the Marvel catalog, I guess, so you’ll have to ask him about that. But I mean, he loves basketball like I’ve said this before, like he, even if we’re playing on the road or you know, there’s a couple games he maybe can’t see in person, he’s always got it on,” Clark explained. “But I know, even our game, he didn’t really know that it was at noon a couple days ago and he had a conflict and he made sure to move the meeting that he had to be able to be here and support us,” she added.

Caitlin Clark Says That Tyrese Haliburton Is One Of The Indiana Fever’s Biggest Fans With His Game Reviews

Later on her recent availability to the media when she was sharing an inside scoop regarding her injury recovery process alongside Indiana Pacers All-Star Tyrese Haliburton, Caitlin Clark expounded on the kind of fan Haliburton truly is when it comes to the Indiana Fever. Along with this, the WNBA sophomore shared her thoughts about how much he loves the state of Indianapolis as a whole.

“He certainly just loves the Fever and he loves the state and you know, that’s very evident in everything that he does and the way he approaches the people in this community. So, we’re very lucky and fortunate. But yeah, I mean he watches a lot of basketball. I think there was a game we lost that I didn’t even play in, probably two or three weeks ago, and I was on a plane flying back and he’s like, ‘Yeah, I’m already re-watching it,'” Clark shared. “‘I’ll text you what I think.’ And I’m like, bro, that’s how you know how bored he is with the thing ’cause he hasn’t really started rehab yet. He’s just kind of chilling so…But yeah, he’s, he’s probably one of our biggest fans,” she concluded.

Coach Stephanie White’s Fever currently have a 10-10 record on the 2025 WNBA season thus far and sit as the third seed in the Eastern Conference.
