This year’s WNBA All-Star game in Indianapolis, Indiana, became the reunion ground for former Iowa Hawkeyes teammates. While Caitlin Clark didn’t participate in the All-Star game due to a groin injury, she was present at the sidelines, helping the team she picked in the All-Star draft against Naphessa Collier’s team.
Clark’s former Hawkeyes teammates Gabbie Marshall, Kate Martin, Jada Gyamfi and more were also present at the game.
Gyamfi took to Instagram to share a carousel of heartwarming photos from their reunion. She captioned the post:
“my whole world in one city!”

In one photo, the whole group also including Audrey Faber, Marit McCaffrey and Haley Faber, posed together at what appears to be a relaxed indoor gathering. Several other photos documented how Gyamfi spent the day in Indiana.
Kate Martin, now part of the WNBA’s Golden State Valkyries, dropped a playful comment under Gyamfi’s post:
“The last two pics 😂😂😂” followed by a heartfelt “I love you!”
Meanwhile, Marshall chimed in with:
“love you my girl ❤️”

The Core Four Of Iowa: Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin, Gabbie Marshall & Jada Gyamfi
Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin, Gabbie Marshall and Jada Gyamfi were a tight-knit group during their time with the Iowa Hawkeyes. The quartet reached NCAA Finals in both 2023 & 2024.
All four are now at different junctures of their careers. Martin and Clark are now part of the WNBA, while Marshall is in her senior year with the Hawkeyes. Gyamfi has called it quits on his basketball career after college.
Earlier this season in June, when Martin’s Valkyries took on Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever, the two were rivals on the court. But, their rivalry remains till the court and off it they are still good friends.
“Yes, of course,” Martin said when asked about her friendship with Clark off the court. “It’s not about [wins or losses] whenever you have such a close friendship with somebody. We know somebody is going to have to win, somebody is going to have to lose. But we’re there for each other always.
“I mean, obviously happy that we won, but also always cheering [Caitlin] on, always in her corner.”

All three of them are highly supportive of each other’s careers and are always seen in the comments section of their posts. Be it a memorable outing for Clark or an important step in Gyamfi’s life, the bond looks inseperable.
