The reigning NCAA champions UConn Huskies, returned to action on the floor to face the Florida State Seminoles on Sunday. Once again, it was an easy cruise to victory for Azzi Fudd and Co., garnering a massive 99-67 win over the Seminoles in the game last night. While that may have been one of the best moments home at Connecticut, another highlight from the side-lines is what that is catching the attention of most fans.
We all know college basketball is probably one of the foremost experiences for hoopers to imbibe team cohesion and understanding before entering the big leagues. And seems like Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong know it very well how to fit well within a team, even if that might mean a little bit of banter amongst the two.
While on the bench, Strong and Fudd were making some expressions at each other, with Strong even going forward trying to fiddle with Fudd. This was all while KK Arnold was seated right in the middle, trying to talk to someone behind in the bench.
While Azzi and Sarah were having their back-and-forth, Arnold seemed quite startled when she realized the two were engaging in some banter. To this, her reaction was priceless and the internet had a lot of things to say in the comments. Here’s a sneak peek into the moment, posted by BRW Sports.

Sarah Strong and Azzi Fudd were spectacular as always in this game as well. Fudd scored 23 points, five assists, and three rebounds while Sarah Strong added 21 points, four assists, and nine rebounds to the scoreboard. This was the Huskies’ second win to start the season, seemingly going strong to run it back for another national championship.
Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong Leading UConn Make Them One of the Strongest Title Contenders This Season
Last college basketball season had a fairy-tale ending for former UConn Husky Paige Bueckers. Leading the Huskies to the natty, Bueckers became the first overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft which is quite a commendable way for stepping into professional hoops. Now, it seems like Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong are paving the way to continue the same way.
In the post-Paige era for UConn, Fudd and Strong have combined for 85 points in their 120 combined minutes on the floor. Even so, coach Geno Auriemma has asked Fudd to embrace every moment of her last season. During the Big East’s media day, Fudd said,
“As I’ve gotten older, I’m like ‘Wow. We really are lucky.’ So really just trying to embrace all of that. Enjoy this last year with my teammates. Enjoy the good, the bad and the ugly.”
Last season was all about bouncing back for Fudd. She played a career-high 34 games and was named Mos Outstanding Player in UConn’s natty win over South Carolina after her game-high 24 points. And it’s almost certain she will keep the momentum going, given how she is widely expected to be a top pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft.
