Azzi Fudd Reveals Girlfriend Paige Bueckers’ Sweet Tradition Dating Back to High School

Former UConn star Paige Bueckers and current UConn star Azzi Fudd have a strong relationship that has blossomed over the years. During their time together on the Huskies, there were rumors that they were involved in a romantic relationship. While many people were confident in this, it was not confirmed until earlier this year.

Since the confirmation, the couple has been much more open and has not hesitated to interact as much publicly. On Thursday, the couple sat down together on the latest episode of “Close Friends Only with Instagram.” They spoke about many topics, including their relationship, basketball, and what they like to do on their days off.

Another topic that came up was music taste. It became clear that Bueckers is someone who enjoys making playlists and has been making them for Fudd since high school as part of a tradition they have together. They had a funny and sweet interaction about it on the podcast.

“I think we have a lot of similarities in music taste, mostly, probably because why?” Paige Bueckers asked (Timestamp 8:55).

“Because I listen to your playlists. You make really good playlists,” Azzi Fudd said.

Bueckers then responded, asking Fudd what her favorite playlist was that she made.

“I mean, you’ve been making me a playlist, like, since high school,” Azzi Fudd said. “I feel like each one has done its job. But I’ve started listening to your gospel one, and I feel like that’s a new area of music that I’m tapping into, so you put me on a lot there.”

Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd Confirmed Their Relationship in July

Despite the heavy rumors that Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd were dating, it was not confirmed until July 17. Bueckers did an interview with “WAG Talk” and was asked several questions about her “D1 girlfriend.” Many of the questions pointed toward Fudd, and at the end of the interview, she confirmed she was talking about her.

The interview was part of WNBA All-Star Weekend. Bueckers was named a WNBA All-Star in her rookie season. Fudd has one more year left at UConn before starting her pro career. Despite dealing with many injuries over the years, she is still viewed as one of the top prospects in the 2026 WNBA draft.
