Former LSU Tigers forward and current Chicago Sky stalwart Angel Reese has warned her WNBA franchise about a ‘non-negotiable’ for her future with them. On Thursday, Oct. 16, @brwsports on Instagram uploaded a couple of excerpts from the most recent episode of the “Unapologetically Angel” podcast.
Reese revealed what her biggest demand from coach Tyler Marsh’s team was in the offseason for the sake of the 2026 campaign and beyond. Reese simply asked for the team to get better players, or else, she will not hesitate to switch to another team.
“I’m not settling for the same sh*t this year. We have to get good players. We have to get great players. That’s a non-negotiable for me. I’d like to be here for my career, but if things don’t pan out, obviously I might have to move in a different direction and do what’s best for me,” Reese was quoted as saying.

Reese will enter her third stint in the league in the 2026 season and will look to play in the WNBA playoffs for the first time in her young career. Besides missing out on postseason play in its entirety this year, Reese’s rookie campaign in the 2024 season with the Sky was cut short due to an injury, with Chicago not projected to make the playoffs that year either.

Angel Reese Says She’d Rather Take A Fine Than Do Her Media Responsibilities
Also in the carousel post by @brwsports on Instagram, Angel Reese was quoted from the latest episode of her podcast, discussing her real thoughts on the media.
The 23-year-old said she’d rather get fined by league officials than meet with the media and fulfill her media responsibilities, as she feels perceptions about her are always shifted.
“I’m terrified of what the media is about to ask. Like it could be the nicest question, but it’s gonna get flipped or put into a different light or a different perspective. And it’s like, are you here intentionally to start a mess or you intentionally here to ask the question? And it’s really tough for me, especially in the media, it’s like I don’t wanna do an interview with anybody,” Reese explained.
“I’d rather take the fine sometimes rather than talking to the media because it always gets flipped, and I think that’s where media has gotten these days,” she added.
