The recent WNBA matchup between the Los Angeles Sparks and Connecticut Sun was one worth a watch. Not simply because of the several highlight moments it produced, but also because of how college hoop fans once again got to witness the heated SEC rivalry between former LSU and South Carolina standouts Aneesah Morrow and Sania Feagin, respectively.
The two rookies, now playing for the Connecticut Sun and Los Angeles Sparks respectively went head-to-head in a competitive battle.
However, Sania Feagin was able to get the most out of it with a chase-down block on one of Morrow’s layup attempts, and the reactions from Feagin’s Sparks teammates were a must-see.

Sparks shooting guard Rae Burrell was even making the ‘stank face’ at Sania Feagin given how nasty her block looked for the highlights. Aneesah Morrow finished the night with just five points and eight rebounds on the stat sheet during her 13 minutes on the floor. On the other hand, Feagin recorded just one rebound during her five minutes of play.
The Sparks finished with a comfortable 101-86 win over the Sun, marking four straight wins. They currently stand 10th in the WNBA table. Meanwhile, the second half of the WNBA season seems to be going against the Sun’s way, with this marking their 20th loss in 23 games.
Though the Sun are in a transition period since revamping their roster this season, such results stray them away from playoff contention even further. The Sun currently stands at the bottom of the WNBA standings, behind the Dallas Wings.
Sania Feagin to be featured in a new sports documentary
LA Sparks rookie Sania Feagin will soon feature in a documentary scheduled to be released in September.
The documentary titled “Fastest Six Weeks in Sports” covers the six weeks between the end of the NCAA Tournament and the beginning of the WNBA season. It will also feature Washington Mystics rookie Georgia Amoore and Sparks star Kelsey Plum.
