3 Years After A’ja Wilson’s Demand, $180 Million Worth Singer Pulls Up to WNBA Finals

Las Vegas Aces’ superstar A’ja Wilson‘s wish from three years ago, which she has often repeated, has finally been granted.

On Sunday, Oct. 5, Wilson and the rest of coach Becky Hammon’s Aces took on the Phoenix Mercury in Game 2 of the 2025 WNBA Finals on their home court, the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Wilson is personally trying to win her third WNBA title.

Among those in attendance to watch and support the Aces was American singer Usher, who has a net worth of $180 million, per Celebrity Net Worth. This came as a surprise to Wilson, who was not expecting the famous artist to come and watch this year’s finals live.

In an Instagram carousel post, @sportscenter recalled the times when Wilson invited Usher to attend a game of hers.

“Usher pulled up to watch A’ja Wilson and the Aces at the WNBA Finals 👏 (🎥: @lvaces, @goodmorningamerica),” @sportscenter on Instagram captioned with emojis.

During a press conference after Wilson won her first WNBA championship in 2022, the now four-time regular-season MVP asked Usher to come and watch one of her games. This happened again in 2023 when Wilson named Usher as the celebrity she wanted to pull up to watch the Aces during an interview.

The same post then shows that Usher was finally in attendance, as seen in videos and clips, to tune in to Wilson and company battle against coach Nate Tibbetts‘ Mercury squad. Prior to this, Wilson had already had a moment with Usher when the latter went over to her during one of his live shows.
