“Why’s She Mad When She Gets Them Easy Calls As Well?”: Fans Slam A’ja Wilson After Cryptic Reply About Aliyah Boston

The 2025 WNBA semifinals matchup between the Las Vegas Aces and the Indiana Fever has reached a do-or-die game. On Tuesday, Sept. 30, coach Becky Hammon’s Aces, led by recently-crowned regular-season MVP A’ja Wilson, will take on coach Stephanie White’s Fever, backed by the likes of All-Star Aliyah Boston, to determine who will reach the 2025 WNBA finals.

However, in a video posted by @brwsports on Instagram on Sunday, Sept. 28, it seems as though there is no more love shared between Wilson and Boston, who both happen to be standout products from the South Carolina Gamecocks program. This is because during the post-game press conference of Game 4, Wilson claimed that it is difficult for her to guard Boston for all of the foul calls she gets.

    “😳 Aliyah Boston was 10-13 from the FT line. A’ja was 3-6. #wnba #womensbasketball #ajawilson,” @brwsports on Instagram captioned.

Women’s basketball fans online went back and forth, discussing who has more fouls called between Wilson and Boston.

“Why she’s mad when she gets them easy calls as well?” one fan wrote with a laughing emoji.

“Boston shot 11 FTs in one quarter. She has no right to talk about a special whistle when she hooks players and throws her ashy elbows the entire game,” another fan shared.

“But A’ja does have a special whistle, the data has proven it,” another user claimed with a laughing emoji.

“The data don’t lie, people! A’ja has had more FT than anyone by a great average,” a user posted, also with a laughing emoji.

Other users all over the comments section, especially the Gamecocks faithful, are just reacting to two WNBA standouts from the same college going at each other.

“Mark my words. I’m happy for Fever but A’ja wrapping this up next game. Y’all done made her mad,” one fan said.

A’ja Wilson Shares What Kind Of Defense She Will Bring To Aliyah Boston In Game 5

As A’ja Wilson confirmed to the media about the foul calls she gets with Aliyah Boston, the four-time WNBA regular-season MVP shared what kind of intense defense she will bring in Game 5.

This is because, as mentioned earlier, Wilson has the same sentiments when it comes to Boston’s foul-baiting.

“She said the last game I had a special whistle, which is cool. So, we just got to play their better defense, make her look a little difficult, and kind of go from there,” Wilson said.
