“In My Sleep”: Paige Bueckers Cockily Shuts Down Angel Reese’s Rose Teammate’s Weightlifting Challenge

Paige Bueckers is one of the most popular names in the basketball world right now. After her national championship redshirt senior season with Geno Auriemma’s UConn, Paige entered the league as the No. 1 pick for the Dallas Wings this year.

Despite the Wings’ poor form and inability to qualify for the WNBA playoffs, Paige won the Rookie of the Year award. She averaged 19.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 5.4 assists in 36 games played in her first season. She also earned her first All-Star inclusion.

After the successful rookie season, Paige also decided to enter the Unrivaled league. She was picked by the new team, Breeze BC. Angel Reese and Chelsea Gray’s Rose BC won the first edition of Unrivaled. Paige will play for the Breeze BC, and clearly, the two teams are gelling really well.

“You get on my nerves bruh. Let’s warm up,” Rose BC’s Shakira Austin laughed as she said to Paige.

“You said I could never lift that?” Paige responded to Austin’s challenge, as Austin replied, “You can’t.”

“You want me to do this straight off a nap like…” Paige Bueckers said and continued her cocky walk as she hilariously tried to do a deadlift with the wrong equipment placement.

“Flip the handles bruh,” Austin said about the wrong placement. “Oh my god, I can do it either way, like it don’t matter to me,” Paige continued to be in character as she corrected the placement and went for the deadlift.

In one try and a loud grunt, Paige impressively did the lift and shouted, “In my sleep.” To this, Austin hilariously said to Paige, “Get your a** out of here right now.” As Paige walked away, she held her back and admitted that it was really heavy.
