While WNBA players are able to encapsulate fans with their bag of skills on the court, some are talented enough to woo us the same way off the court as well. Besides being the best hoopers, WNBA players also perform certain side-quests too, some that may also include modelling for Playboy magazine.
Though Playboy magazine has historically held diverse meanings, in recent years, celebrities have used this platform to create an identity around themselves. For example, Kylie Jenner has posed several times as a Playboy model to reclaim her sexuality, emphasizing on the coexistence of sexuality and motherhood, and challenging traditional notions of morality.
Perhaps that’s what Kysre Gondrezick had in mind as she became the most recent model to pose for the magazine. Playboy officially introduced Godrezick as Miss June on Monday, sharing a striking photo of the former Chicago Sky guard floating on an orange pool toy.
Gondrezick posed for a number of steamy clicks, showing off her chiselled body in various ways, like posing on a bed, on a vintage car, and with a basketball. While some of the clicks featured her topless, she was also donning a black sleeveless top and a brown bikini top in the most gracious manner possible.

With this, Gondrezick became the first current female professional basketball player to take the Playmate title. Speaking on this note, Gondrezick said,
“What people label as a transition, I embody as evolution. I’m not stepping outside who I am. I’m building a multidimensional brand.”
Sure enough, it took a lot of hard work for Gondrezick to reach this stage. “Becoming a WNBA player and getting to that level, you put in a lot of work to get there,” she added. “You have to put in more work to stay here.”
Gondrezick is currently a free agent, having last been part of the Chicago Sky’s roster. She has not been in the league since being released for a second time by the Sky on June 28 this year, despite making it to Chicago’s opening day roster.

In early 2024, fans were enamored hearing about Jaylen Brown dating WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick. The former Sky guard was also spotted at the Celtics’ championship paradein June last year, as well as at the ESPY Awards. When Brown was asked about the same, he described Gondrezick as his “date”. The couple were also spotted attending events like New York Fashion Week together.
Brown and Gondrezick seemed like a high-profile romance throughout the 2024-25 season. However, early in 2025, the couple had reportedly broken up. As per many sources in the league, Brown wanted to focus on his career, which surprised many fans and people close to the couple alike.
