A’ja Wilson had an amazing year. Everything she touched turned to gold. This season, Wilson took multiple awards in the WNBA apart from leading the Las Vegas Aces to another WNBA championship. Wilson took the Aces to back-to-back WNBA titles in 2022 and 2023. After a two-year gap, the Aces are back to winning ways, with Wilson at the precipice of their success.
Wilson averaged 23.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in this successful season. She won her fourth MVP, third Defensive Player of the Y, sixth All-Star nomination, and many more. This year wasn’t full of success just for A’ja Wilson. There were a lot of talented women in the world of sports who made their mark. Napheesa Collier also had an impactful year, as she flipped the basketball world by calling out WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert and led the movement of change in the WNBA.
