Wisconsin WR Eugene Hilton Jr. Transfer Portal: 5 Potential Landing Spots for 4x Pro Bowler WR’s Son

Eugene Hilton Jr.’s college career is just beginning, but the son of respected NFL receiver T.Y. Hilton, is heading for a big change. After a freshman season that saw him earn just eight receptions for 91 yards, Hilton is going elsewhere.

According to a Monday report by reporter Steve Wiltfong via Transfer Portal on Instagram, Hilton plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal. There are a lot of eyes on where the wide receiver will end up, but some teams stand above the rest as a potential fit. Here’s a look at five potential landing spots for the Wisconsin Badger receiver.

    #5 – Alabama Crimson Tide

The Alabama Crimson Tide reached the college football playoff once again in 2025, proving that there can be life without Nick Saban. As such, with a passing offense buried on the national charts by many other teams, adding the young receiver could be a winning move.

Considering the program’s respect and its history in developing receivers like Jaylen Waddle, Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, and DeVonta Smith, Hilton could benefit from the program as much as the program could benefit from him.

    #4 – Georgia Bulldogs

The Georgia Bulldogs made the college football playoff, and if weather is a factor for Eugene Hilton Jr., going from cold Wisconsin to warm Georgia makes plenty of sense. The Bulldogs also have a passing offense in need of a boost, which could come in the form of a receiver like Hilton. If Hilton buys in, he could make a name for himself and elevate the offense as well.

    #3 – Florida International Panthers

One potential choice that makes sense is to follow in the footsteps of his father. T.Y. Hilton played for the Florida International Panthers for all four seasons and exploded in the NFL. Eugene Hilton Jr. could use his father as the perfect guide for the program, giving him a leg up on the competition on the depth chart, which could get him extra practice and catapult him into the NFL.

    #2 – Miami Hurricanes

The Miami Hurricanes are still patting themselves on the back for the work they did with Cam Ward, getting him to the top of the NFL Draft. With Ward now gone, however, the team needs to pull out every stop to set up the next Ward, and the team could do worse than Eugene Hilton Jr.

    #1 – Texas A&M Aggies

Texas A&M is still smarting from its 10-3 loss to the Miami Hurricanes in the college football playoff. Going forward, it’s clear where the team needs to get better. By adding Eugene Hilton Jr., the team will have planted an offensive seed that could sprout into something special. The defense was great in the contest, and if the offense was even somewhat better, the team could have gone on a run. Hilton could potentially be the final piece.
