It has been a Heisman-worthy year for Diego Pavia, as he nearly led Vanderbilt to an appearance in the College Football Playoffs. He is now a senior, which means that he really has to leave after this season and head for the NFL. Because he was stellar this year, he could possibly go in the first round, probably even the No. 1 pick if he wins the Heisman.
Should he decide to enter the NFL draft in 2026, the question now is which team would want him? Pavia has one last college football game, at the ReliaQuest Bowl on Dec. 31, as Vanderbilt takes on Iowa. A great performance there should make more teams interested.

5 NFL Teams That Could Get Diego Pavia Next year
Las Vegas Raiders
There are plenty of reasons why the Raiders could get Pavia, as the team needs a good quarterback after such a disastrous season, as well as the Raiders possibly getting a high pick and have a massive chance to draft him in 2026. Another reason is that Diego Pavia actually admitted he wants to go to Las Vegas.
“What NFL team do I want to play for? Let me think. Well I got a few options… anywhere that needs a QB, but this is where I’d like to go. Las Vegas Raiders, so I can play with Maxx Crosby,” he said.
Cleveland Browns
While fans want Shedeur Sanders to continue being QB1, it should be noted that the Browns have the tendency to always draft a quarterback and fill their quarterback room to max capacity and see what sticks, as seen with what happened earlier this year.
The Browns love their quarterbacks and will always draft one. While they are leaning towards Fernando Mendoza, according to rumors, they could go for Pavia as a consolation.
Cincinnati Bengals
Joe Burrow is reportedly unhappy with the Bengals but has not asked to be traded yet. Should he leave, this leaves Cincinnati with a gaping hole, and this is where Diego Pavia could come in.
Pittsburgh Steelers
As the Steelers actually have a good record, they might have a long shot at drafting Pavia, but they could always trade. Aaron Rodgers is reportedly retiring by the end of the season, and Pavia could swoop in and get that QB1 spot.
New York Jets
The Jets, by virtue of having a dismal season, could draft a quarterback high in the first round, and Pavia could be their answer. This is a team that needs to rebuild, and why not rebuild around a young quarterback like him?
