Why EA Needs to Bring Back Mascot Mashup Mode in College Football 26

There was nothing better than firing up EA Sports NCAA 14 with your buddies and loading into a game of mascot mashup, a game mode in which you use college football mascots instead of college football players.

However, when EA rebooted the game last summer in the form of EA Sports College Football 25, the mascot mashup was not included. This was one of the few disappointments about the game, but with the newest edition dropping in July, fans hope to see the beloved game mode return.

Mascot Mashup Mode Was Pure College Football Chaos

Mascot Mashup truly was chaotic. Watching the Stanford Tree do backflips as a juke move was special; fans deserve that back in EA Sports College Football 26.

However, in the ’25 edition of the game, many famous mascots were not included. Schools like Iowa and Kansas did not see their mascots featured, which was a bizarre miss by the game developers.

If EA can get all the mascots into the game this year, they need to bring back Mascot Mashup. Sometimes, users don’t want the ultra-realistic gameplay experience but would rather play in fun and unrealistic modes like mascot mode.

They have a lot on their plate in terms of making the new game as good as possible, but this feels like a simple request that the developers can easily fulfill for fans.

Some Other Requests for EA Sports College Football 26

Mascot Mashup isn’t the only thing fans are looking for in the newest game. EA already announced that they are bringing back the high school football experience in the ‘Road to Glory’ game mode that was missing from the ’25 game.

Fans are also calling for a more in-depth NIL system to be put in place in ‘Dynasty’ mode, to give them a more realistic recruiting experience as they try to land top talent in the country.

Another big request has been to add a full soundtrack to the new game, as last year, the only song fans heard was a constant drum line that became annoying really fast.
