The Las Vegas Raiders made the splash selection of running back Ashton Jeanty in the first round of the NFL Draft last week.
Now, they can take the league by storm on offense.

Ashton Jeanty’s Arrival Signals a Potential Revival of the Raiders’ Offense
With Jeanty’s arrival in Vegas, this Raiders offense under new head coach Pete Carroll could be electric. Also, Jeanty isn’t the only star coming to Sin City. Remember, the Raiders already traded and signed Pro Bowl quarterback Geno Smith, who played for Carroll in Seattle.
The team drafted TCU wide receiver Jack Bech last week and signed former Pro Bowl running back Raheem Mostert. Not to mention that tight end Brock Bowers is already one of the best in the game in terms of his position.
This offense is ready to roll, but Jeanty is the player who can take it to the next level.
What Ashton Jeanty Brings to the Table
The former Heisman candidate and Doak Walker Award winner is bringing some serious hype firepower to the desert. He can take a simple handoff from his team’s 10-yard line to the house. Two seasons ago at Boise State, he rushed for over 1,300 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground.
He essentially doubled that output in 2024, rushing for a whopping 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns. The Raiders have been looking for that production since they lost All-Pro running back Josh Jacobs in free agency last offseason.
The addition of the sixth overall pick, Jeanty, will boost the fan base and help grow the confidence of the players in the locker room. Remember, this Raider franchise has struggled to make the playoffs over the last few decades.
Perhaps Carroll, Smith, and Jeanty’s additions can help turn the franchise’s fortunes around.
