It is reported that Belichick and Hudson first met in February 2021. It was when they were both sitting next to each other on a flight from Massachusetts to Florida. Belichick noticed Hudson, then in college, reading a book titled Deductive Logic.
Impressed with what she was reading, Belichick started talking to her. Their meeting was said to have left its mark on Hudson. As she later posted on Instagram, she had written Belichick a thank-you note following the meeting. Belichick responded by signing her textbook personally and, along with that, a note.
The romance between the couple was made public in 2023, after Belichick broke up with longtime girlfriend Linda Holliday. The two were initially spotted together early in 2023, but their romantic relationship wasn’t confirmed until September of that year.
In spite of the huge age gap, insiders have said that Belichick and Hudson have a strong bond, with some of them referring to Hudson as an “old soul.”

In April 2025, while being interviewed on CBS’s Sunday Morning, Hudson interrupted a question about their relationship and responded, “We’re not talking about this.” Belichick retorted by saying that he thinks about doing what is right for himself and doesn’t care about opinion.
Despite their preference to keep their lives personal, Belichick and Hudson have occasionally shared moments of their relationship on social media. These are photos of Halloween parties, yoga classes, and other activities that are personal in nature.
