Who Is Jacob Rodriguez’s Wife? Inside the Texas Tech Star’s Life Off the Field

Jacob Rodriguez will step onto the field for Texas Tech as they take on the BYU Cougars in Week 11 of college football action. The Cougars (8-0) are hoping to maintain their unbeaten streak, while Texas Tech is also in pursuit of its ninth win of the campaign.

At 6-foot-1 and 230 pounds, Rodriguez is not the only elite defender in his family; his wife, Emma Rodriguez, is a U.S. Army Blackhawk helicopter pilot.

Emma attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, earning a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. Emma took the stage in 2023 as the First Regiment Cadet Command Sergeant Major.

Emma’s career then took her to Fort Novosel in Enterprise, Alabama, for Flight School training in June 2023, and she started her military aviation career.

The couple met in their teenage years. Jacob moved from Minnesota to S.H. Rider High School while Emma attended rival Wichita Falls High School, but they were raised in the same community.

According to the Santa Maria Times, both attended First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls and were members of the same youth group.

How Old Is Jacob Rodriguez’ Wife Emma?

Born on January 28, 2001, Emma is currently 24 years old, making her about a year and eight months older than Jacob, who was born on September 6, 2002.

Emma has also been an active supporter of Jacob’s Heisman bid, sharing how much she is invested in Jacob’s success by posting on X:

“You know what time it is. @HeismanTrophy I want to vote for #JacobRodriguez.”

On February 17, 2023, their lives changed when Jacob got down on one knee and asked Emma to marry him. She shared her first anniversary of that moment on Instagram with a heartfelt message, writing:

“A year ago today. @jrodriguez._10 saying yes to you was the greatest decision of my life. I love the life we get to live and I love you.”

The couple planned an engagement celebration in July 2023 in Willis, Texas. But Jacob and Emma had other plans: that evening, they transformed their engagement party into their actual wedding ceremony, surprising everyone.
