Who Is Dylan Raiola’s Brother? Meet 2026 Nebraska Commit Dayton Raiola

In the heart of Lincoln, Nebraska, Dylan Raiola was born. He is the true freshman quarterback who’s become the face of Nebraska football and has already sparked hopes for a title win for the program. However, Dylan is not the only gem of the Raiola clan.

His brother Dayton Raiola, a 2026 quarterback commit who announced his pledge to the Huskers in September 2024, is also slowly and steadily making his name in the sport. With deep ties to Nebraska and a skill set earning the proper attention, Dayton is set to match his brother.

All You Need To Know About Dylan Raiola’s Brother Dayton Raiola

The Raiola family’s connection with Nebraska is very deep. Their father, Dominic Raiola, was a consensus All-American center for the Huskers from 1997 to 2000, winning the inaugural Rimington Trophy in 2000 before a 14-year NFL career with the Detroit Lions.

Their uncle, Donovan Raiola, is Nebraska’s current offensive line coach, and their sister, Taylor, a former TCU volleyball player, works in the program’s recruiting department. Dylan, a five-star recruit and the No. 11 overall prospect in the 2024 class, flipped his commitment from Georgia to Nebraska in December 2023, becoming the program’s starting quarterback and continuing the family’s legacy.

Dayton is a 6-foot-1, 210-pound left-handed quarterback from Buford High School in Georgia. He committed to Nebraska on September 22, 2024, becoming the first pledge in the Huskers’ 2026 recruiting class.

Though he was a three-star prospect, Dayton took over as Buford’s starting quarterback after Dylan’s departure for college. His junior season has been nothing less than impressive, with 1,953 yards, 19 touchdowns, and three interceptions, leading Buford to a 5-1 record and a No. 2 ranking in Georgia.

    Dayton’s Skill Set

Unlike his right-handed brother, Dayton is a left-handed quarterback who makes many unique plays on the court. He has a very smooth throwing motion and a strong arm and is capable of 50-plus-yard passes, as seen in his pinpoint deep ball against Collins Hill.

While Dylan is a classic pocket passer, Dayton offers more mobility, adding a dual-threat element, though he’s not a prolific runner. However, Dayton’s not without flaws. His film shows occasional off-target throws, like a back-shoulder pass that sailed too far inside. With another year of high school ball in 2025, he should focus on refining his accuracy and reads.

In the end, Dayton is more than Dylan’s brother; he’s a talented quarterback carving his own path while carrying a family legacy. As Nebraska rebuilds under Matt Rhule, who’s “hyper-focused” on winning in his third year, the Raiola brothers embody the program’s renewed optimism.

With Dylan as the face of the Huskers and Dayton set to join in 2026, the brothers aim to push each other to new heights.
