After spending four years with the USC Trojans, quarterback Miller Moss transferred to the Louisville Cardinals in December. Last season, he led the Trojans to a 4-5 record in nine starts, throwing for 2,555 yards with 18 touchdowns against nine interceptions, completing 64.4% of passes.
He made his debut with the Cardinals last week, throwing for 223 yards, with one touchdown against two interceptions in the 51-17 win against Eastern Kentucky. While he’s in the news, let’s learn about his parents.

Who are Miller Moss’ parents?
Hailing from Santa Monica, California, Miller Moss was born on March 19, 2002, to Eric Owen Moss and Emily Kovner Moss.
Eric is an award-winning architect from Los Angeles. The founder of Culver City-based Eric Owen Moss Architects is known for his innovative designs and contributions to contemporary architecture. He also held various positions in academia, including serving as director of the Southern California Institute of Architecture from 2002 to 2015. Some of his accolades include the Arnold Brunner Memorial Prize, the AIA/LA Gold Medal, and the Austrian Decoration for Science and Art.
Miller’s mother, Emily, is also from a similar background, holding a Master of Architecture degree from Yale University. She previously served as a professor at USC’s School of Architecture and is currently acting as the managing partner and designer at her husband’s firm, EOMA.

Unlike many college sports stars who have some athletic heritage in their family, Miller Moss’s entering “football” was an “accident,” according to his father, Eric.
“I really think a lot of this is an accident,” Eric said via ESPN. “Whatever you put in front of him, he kind of likes.”
Growing up, Miller was encouraged to pursue several interests, including football, chess, creative writing, architecture, mythology, and rocket ships.
“I think he is an unusual kid for a football player and an unusual football player for a kid,” Eric said. “I think he’s a tactician and a strategist, but he is also self-effacing and has the ability to bring people together.”
Miller Moss’ brother Emily revealed the QB’s obsession with Greek mythology growing up.
“He would be pretty obsessive about things and really pursue them,” Emily said. “We have so many books on Greek gods and goddesses and airplanes and rocket ships from those days.”
Moss will next lead the Cardinals against James Madison.
