Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn went down after a terrible collision with quarterback Marcus Mariota at the sidelines during the game’s first half against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
Mariota, who was pushed out of bounds by Raiders defensive back Tristin McCollum, was unable to stop before hitting the sideline. He collided with Quinn. The Commanders’ coach reportedly hit his head on the ground during the collision and was left bleeding.

Immediately after the collision, players and coaches nearby checked up on him to see if he was okay. According to USA Today, the head coach sustained a minor facial injury.
Despite a visible cut on his nose, the head coach stayed in the game until halftime as he saw Matt Gray make a 56-yard field goal.
Dan Quinn took a shot from his quarterback Marcus Mariota on that scramble; he got planted. Nose and back of his head are bleeding. But tells the ref he’s okay before Matt Gay’s 56-yard field goal to end the half. Washington 20, Las Vegas 10.

Dan Quinn Confirms He’s Alright In Halftime Interview
During the halftime interview, Dan Quinn joined the reporter on the sidelines and said that he was okay after a brutal collision.
“Yeah, I’m okay,” Quinn said. “Everything’s good. It’s going to be this kind of day where it’s physical game, back and forth, and that’s what we expected coming in. We know Pete and their crew are going to be tough.”

Dan Quinn’s Commanders entered the halftime with a commanding 20-10 lead. In Jayden Daniels’ absence, Marcus Mariota has moved the ball well on the ground. In four carries so far, he has rushed for 41 yards and one touchdown. Before that collision, Commanders’ Jeremy McNichols broke loose for a 60-yard rushing touchdown.
On the other hand, Geno Smith has not had it easy comparatively in running the ball and his passing efficiency hasn’t been that great in the first half.
In the halftime interview, Quinn also said:
“Yeah, just the whole combination of things, advancing on third downs, being aggressive and staying aggressive for our chances. But we know against their team, it’s going to take all four quarters.”
It remains to be seen if Dan Quinn and the Commanders can emerge victorious from here.
