Western Kentucky Hilltoppers 2024 Football Schedule

Is it CUSA Championship or bust in 2024 for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers? With the way this 2024 schedule lines up, it probably should be.

In what could be considered a down year for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers as a program in 2023, Tyson Helton and Co. are back to compete for a title in 2024. Helton returns a plethora of potential stars and a new quarterback to dice up CUSA defenses.

How many winnable games appear on the Western Kentucky 2024 football schedule though?

If the Hilltoppers hope to compete against their fellow CUSA teams, they’ll have to weather an early-season barrage of non-conference opponents in the meantime. WKU heads to Alabama to open their season, but that’s just the beginning.

Two-time defending MAC East champion Toledo comes to town a week ahead of WKU’s trip to ACC country to take on Boston College. In total, it’s a very eventual month of September that also includes FCS foe Eastern Kentucky and the start of CUSA play with a trip to Middle Tennessee as well.

The midweek slate begins late for WKU as they host UTEP on the second Thursday of October. They’ll play just three midweek games and travel to just one of them (Sam Houston). Home games against Louisiana Tech and Jacksonville State, with an away challenge against Liberty, close out the Hilltoppers’ season in style.

The 20th annual Conference USA Championship Game will feature the top two finishers in conference play and is set to be played on Friday, December 6. CBS Sports Network will broadcast the CUSA Championship Game.
