No. 17 Texas Tech vs. No. 16 Utah

A pair of underrated Big 12 standouts will open conference play against each other. Both are 3-0 and have shown impressive offenses. TTU’s Behren Morton, with 923 yards and 11 TDs already, is an underrated star. The Utes are a slight home favorite, but this one could certainly go either way.

No. 22 Auburn vs. No. 11 Oklahoma

Here comes the Jackson Arnold showdown, as the Auburn QB will face his former team. The Sooners are getting some serious love due to John Mateer’s excellent work at QB. Auburn’s on-and-off passing game could be the difference in this game.

Tulane vs. No. 13 Ole Miss

Tulane is one of the top G5 teams in the nation and is coming in off a win over Duke. Ole Miss is talented, but hasn’t been super sharp in execution so far this season. The Rebels are a fairly substantial favorite, but Tulane coach Jon Sumrall is one of the sport’s up-and-coming stars.

    No. 21 Michigan vs. Nebraska

This is a wild showdown, with one of the top 2024 class QBs (Dylan Raiola) facing the top 2025 class QB (Bryce Underwood). Nebraska is 3-0, but is a slight home underdog in this matchup.

South Carolina vs. No. 23 Missouri

Carolina comes off a devastating loss to Vanderbilt, but could right the ship quickly by taking down Missouri. However, Tiger RB Ahmad Hardy has been one of the nation’s best so far. QB LaNorris Sellers is uncertain this week, and his availability could be key to this game.

    Florida vs. No. 4 Miami

Florida gets another chance to salvage an increasingly miserable season. But the Hurricanes are the favorites here and justifiably so. Miami is at the top of the ACC and could potentially help seal Billy Napier’s fate with a win here.

No. 9 Illinois vs. No. 19 Indiana

An interesting battle of a couple of below-the-radar Big Ten contenders. Indiana has been explosive offensively, while Illinois should be solid behind Luke Altmyer. While Penn State, Ohio State, and Oregon are the big-name teams, here are two teams that could end up sneaking into the CFP.

    Arkansas vs. Memphis

The Razorbacks very nearly upset Ole Miss last week, but now will have to play one of the toughest G5 teams in the nation. This one could go down to the wire. A loss to the Tigers could help doom Sam Pittman’s shaky job prospects.

    North Carolina vs. UCF

Bill Belichick tries to jump-start an ugly season against a team that he has insisted on referring to as “central” in media appearances. UCF is favored in this game and could really make Belichick’s first season miserable. Seeing Belichick struggle has been a shocking development in the young season.

    Arizona State vs. Baylor

The clash of two top Big 12 teams that are both 2-1 sounds like a solid Week 4 matchup. Jordyn Tyson is elite for Arizona State, while Baylor’s usually stout defense has struggled early in the season. Somebody will get a leg up in the 2025 Big 12 race in this game.
