The Texas Longhorns are in the best place that they have been in years after they reached both the SEC Championship Game and the semifinals of the College Football Playoffs last season. With the team set to move forward with Arch Manning as the new starting quarterback, things are looking up for the Longhorns.

Steve Sarkisian’s Take on Arch Manning
No one has a higher opinion of Manning than Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian, who spoke about him on “Up & Adams” today.
“Nobody works harder…This guy gets along with everyone. Super competitive. Got way more swag than his uncles,” Sarkisian told Adams.

It is safe to say that when you are poking fun at both Peyton and Eli Manning, you are in a good place, which seems to be where Sarkisian is with Arch Manning as his quarterback.
Although he played sparingly thus far, Manning completed nearly 68% of his passes for 939 yards and nine touchdowns. The Louisiana native also showed off his legs as he ran for 108 yards and four scores in limited action.
Now, it is fully his show in Austin with the full support of his coaches and team behind him.
After learning from Quinn Ewers, Arch has the chance to carry the torch all the way to another College Football Playoff appearance in 2025.
What Texas Can Accomplish in 2025
Again, this team had a very strong 2024 season that saw them finish among the best teams in the country. Now, it will be up to Sarkisian, Manning, and Co. to bring home their first national title in two decades.
They will have to start the season off against the reigning champion Ohio State Buckeyes on the road in late August in a rematch of the College Football Playoff Semifinals.

Also, they will have to face Oklahoma in the “Red River Rivalry,” Georgia on the road, as well as sneaky teams such as Florida and Texas A&M.
Other than those games, it should be relatively smooth sailing for Texas.
All eyes will be on the play of Arch Manning, the coaching of Sarkisian, and even the Matthew McConaughey celebrations on the sideline after each Longhorn score.
