Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders has been dealing with various health issues lately. He was forced to miss the Buffaloes’ summer football camps at the beginning of June because he was in Texas dealing with an unspecified health issue. Fortunately, Sanders has returned to Colorado and has started to resume his coaching duties.
Also, by returning to Colorado, Coach Prime has had the opportunity to spend more time with family. On Sunday morning, he posted a series of images on his Instagram account sharing some joyful moments with his grandson.

Deion Sanders has one grandchild, Snow, who is the son of his daughter Deiondra Sanders and R&B artist Jacquees. Snow was born in August 2024.
Most people in the football world will be happy to see Sanders enjoying some joyful moments after his health scare. Sanders has dealt with many health issues in recent years, many related to blood clots. In 2022, Sanders was forced to have two of his toes on his left foot amputated as a result of blood clots.
Sanders then needed to have another surgery in 2023 to relieve blood clots in both of his legs. This procedure forced him to miss Pac-12 media day. However, Sanders has not specified whether his recent health issue is related to his previous blood clot problems.
Fortunately for Coach Prime, his eldest son, Deion Sanders Jr, stuck by his side when he traveled to Texas. On a live stream, Deion Jr. told his fans that he would not return to Colorado until his father was ready to go too.
“He’ll tell y’all soon enough what he’s going through, what he went through,” Deion Sanders Jr. said. “When we get back to Boulder, I don’t know. I’m waiting until my dad leaves. When he leaves, then I’ll go. Until then, I’m going to sit here with him.”
Deion Sanders Has Five Children From His Two Previous Marriages
While Deion Sanders only has one grandchild so far, he has five children from his two previous marriages. Sanders was married to Carolyn Chambers from 1989 to 1998. Together, they had two children, Deiondra Sanders and Deion Sanders Jr.
Sanders was then married to Pilar Sanders from 1999 to 2015. Together they had three children, Shilo Sanders, Shedeur Sanders and Shelomi Sanders. Shedeur and Shilo were on the Buffaloes the previous two seasons but are now starting their NFL careers. Shedeur is on the Cleveland Browns, and Shilo plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
