Viral Clip Shows Arch Manning Mouthing Off Profanities At Texas Teammates Despite 41-27 Citrus Bowl Win

Arch Manning led the Texas Longhorns to a 41-27 win against the Michigan Wolverines in the 2025 Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Eve. With this, the Longhorns finished the season with a 10-3 record in the first season when they announced Manning as their starting quarterback.

After the game ended, Manning was allegedly caught mouthing expletives at his team while he was sitting on the bench. He allegedly said:

    “I’m just gonna stop giving a f*ck”

There doesn’t appear to be a reason why he might have thrown expletives. It is possible it could be an isolated conversation away from the football field.

In the game, Manning completed 21 of 35 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns, while accounting for two more scores rushing, carrying the ball nine times for 155 yards. His dual-threat performance gave a glimpse of what could be on offer when he returns.

Ahead of the game, Manning expressed his excitement to play in this bowl game:

“I was in New Orleans over the break and my grandfather (Archie) told me about those games, and my dad. It’s cool being a part of this game, especially that (Peyton Manning) played in it and we’re excited to go play a good Michigan team.”

Arch Manning Talks Focus After Texas Missed the CFP

The College Football Playoff committee left out Texas, placing it at No. 13 in their final rankings. The Longhorns started the season as preseason favorites to win the championship, with Arch Manning having the best odds to become the Heisman Trophy winner. However, neither happened because of the program’s inconsistent performances over the season, resulting in losses against Ohio State, Florida and Georgia.

Following their loss against Georgia, making them a three-loss team, Manning focused on what the Longhorns can control going forward.

“We’re just going to go do our best to beat Arkansas,” Manning said via SI. “Learn from it. Look in the mirror. ‘How can you get better?’ You know, that’s the thing about college football — you’ve got a game next week. So learn, hopefully get better, and move forward.”

There was also a lot of chatter around Manning possibly leaving for the 2026 NFL draft. However, ahead of the Citrus Bowl, the quarterback shut down the speculations and said he will return for the 2026 season.

“I feel like I developed a lot this year, especially toward the back half and I want to keep it going,” he said. “There’s no reason to leave. I feel like I got a lot more football left to play and excited to still be a part of this team.”

Manning will hope for a stronger 2026 season before declaring for the NFL draft.
