Despite being No. 4 in the Cleveland Browns’ QB depth chart, Shedeur Sanders is proving to be a fan favorite. Fans have been rallying to have him as QB1 for the Browns and he has so far been impressing several analysts. This includes analyst and Ohio State coaching legend Urban Meyer.
Meyer noted during his appearance on 92.3 The Fan’s “Ken Carmen Show With Anthony Lima” that one of the reasons why the Colorado Buffaloes turned their season around was getting a quarterback like Shedeur Sanders. He then praised the Browns rookie’s skillset and noted that he really enjoyed seeing the son of NFL legend Deion Sanders play.
“I love watching him,” Meyer said. “We covered him, we were there for the first three games and they turned around a program that was a trainwreck. You don’t do that without Shedeur Sanders. I got to go behind the scenes, watch him, watch his coach, or his father and coach, and a lot of times we may be uncomfortable with all the flash and the posse and the watches, but I know what I saw.”
“I saw a player that could get out of trouble, lead a team, and that is all really a skillset to be successful,” he added.

Meyer, whose net worth is $35 million (as per Celebrity Net Worth), has been very vocal of his admiration for Shedeur Sanders. As the former Ohio State coach noted, Colorado had been a struggling team, and it was Deion Sanders that took the team from a laughing stock to a contender.
Urban Meyer also noted that Coach Prime could not have done this without Shedeur, who has proven to be a leader himself.

Shedeur Sanders May Be In Similar Situation as Tim Tebow
During that same radio show appearance, Urban Meyer also drew some similarities between Shedeur Sanders and one legendary quarterback named Tim Tebow.
Meyer noted that the spotlight that Shedeur has right now is similar to Tebow, who infamously could not find a team that he could play for as teams did not want to have his presence be a distraction. He noted that should the Browns drop him, he could face a similar situation.
Despite this, Meyer believes that Shedeur Sanders could succeed in Cleveland, as he has shown that he could lead a team to victory while he was still with the Buffaloes.
