Former Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer took very little time before he made it clear who his favorites were in the upcoming Michigan Wolverines versus Ohio State matchup at Michigan Stadium.
Meyer, who coached the Buckeyes from 2012 through 2018, was spotted showing up in Ann Arbor for this important game with a t-shirt from Ohio State that read “BEAT MICHIGAN,” indicating his strong loyalty to his former team.

The Michigan-Ohio State rivalry, which many fans will refer to simply as “The Game,” will be played for the 121st time, with the current No. 1 team in college football, Ohio State Buckeyes against the 15th-ranked team, Michigan Wolverines.
The kick-off of this game is at 12:00 PM ET, and former head coach Urban Meyer has a very impressive track record of winning as Ohio State’s head coach, having an unbeaten record of 7-0 against Michigan during his time there and is now a well-known analyst for FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff.
Ohio State would like to further extend their unbeaten 11-0 record when they face the Wolverines, with all eyes being on quarterback Julian Sayin, who has thrown for 2,832 yards with a 79.4% completion rate so far this season. Sayin has also got 27 touchdowns and 4 interceptions to his name, while his teammate Jeremiah Smith has also completed 69 receptions and 10 touchdowns so far this campaign.
Michigan, who are currently third in the Big Ten with nine wins so far, will need quarterback Bryce Underwood to continue having a good season along with running back Jordan Marshall and defensive lineman Derrick Moore, who has been a major pass-rushing threat so far with 9.5 sacks.

Florida Honors Urban Meyer With Ring Of Honor Selection
Urban Meyer was also recently inducted into the 2025 National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame and was recognized with an on-campus salute at Florida earlier this week. During that weekend, Florida announced that he will be inducted into the Gators’ Ring of Honor.
Meyer is considered somewhat of a college football legend considering his coaching experience, leading teams like Bowling Green (2001–02), Utah (2003–04), Florida (2005–10), and Ohio State (2012–18).

Across 17 college seasons, Meyer has compiled roughly a 187–32 record, winning national titles at Florida in 2006 and 2008 and Ohio State in 2014, also going 7–0 against Michigan. Meyer was also named as the Jacksonville Jaguars’ head coach for the 2021 NFL season, an experiment that did not work out well, as the Jaguars ended their campaign with a 3-14 record.
Post his coaching career, Meyer is often seen making appearances as a FOX sports analyst whilst also co-hosting a weekly show called “The Triple Option.”
