The transfer portal received a big boost — literally — to start the New Year as Bowling Green WR Tyrone Broden announced on Monday his intentions to transfer. Broden is a huge pass catcher who should garner massive interest.
Tyrone Broden Enters Transfer Portal
If you didn’t have the pleasure of watching midweek MACtion over the past few seasons or catching any Bowling Green action in 2022, Tyrone Broden is a name you missed. The big-time pass catcher ripped off back-to-back seasons of 500+ yards and has 12 touchdowns over the past two seasons.
Broden stands tall at 6’7″ and 210 pounds, possessing one of the largest catch radiuses in college football.
A standout receiver at West Bloomfield High School in Michigan, Broden was recruited by essentially every MAC school but had little interest across the nation. After growing his frame and his game since 2019, Broden should receive a ton of national interest in the transfer portal.
Broden finished his four-year Bowling Green career with 74 receptions, 1,199 yards, and 12 receiving touchdowns.

Broden can win all over the field and is one of the top red-zone threats in all of college football. A physically-imposing threat on the boundary, Broden also possesses a top gear that should put defenders in tough spots across the country. Where he lands will be an interesting story to monitor, as will all the schools that offer him in the portal.
Broden could be one of the biggest gets (literally) for any school in the portal this offseason.
