Semaj Stanford, a highly sought-after defensive back in the 2027 recruiting class, is set to transfer from High School to Broken Arrow ahead of his junior season. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound Oklahoma native has earned national recognition for his dynamic play and sharp football instincts.
Widely seen as the top 2027 prospect in the state, Stanford made an immediate impact at Jenks, securing varsity snaps as a freshman and excelling as a two-way threat. His new destination, Broken Arrow, is roughly 25 minutes from Jenks and marks the next chapter in his rising football journey.

Semaj Stanford, one of the nation’s top defensive backs in the 2027 class, is making a move ahead of his junior year.
The Jenks (Okla.) High School standout revealed on Twitter that he will transfer to nearby Broken Arrow once the school year ends.
“I will be transferring to Broken Arrow,” Stanford wrote. “I will be finishing track season at Jenks and competing for a state championship. Then I will be enrolling into Broken Arrow when school ends.”

He added praise for Jenks and head coach Jordan Gaylor, stating,
“Can’t give enough praise for what he has done for me and my family, will forever be grateful.” Stanford closed the announcement by crediting his faith and reminding college programs, “ALL COLLEGE COACHES ROLLING IN FOR SPRING I AM STILL AT JENKS!!!!!!”
Listed at 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds, Stanford ranks No. 146 nationally in the 2027 class per the On3 Industry Ranking. He is also rated the No. 14 safety in the country and the No. 2 overall player in Oklahoma among rising juniors.
Stanford already has more than a dozen Division I offers, and schools such as Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Miami, Oregon, Houston, and Arizona State are among the programs in pursuit.
In addition to his football talents, he’s an elite athlete on the track. This spring, he posted a 10.64-second time in the 100-meter dash, placing him among the top 10 sprinters in Oklahoma for the 2024 season.
