The Cleveland Browns shocked the NFL and college football world in the 2025 NFL Draft as they selected Ohio State RB Quinshon Judkins with the 36th overall pick in the Draft.
According to most draft projections and rankings in this year’s class, Treyveon Henderson was the clear selection out of the two Ohio State Running Backs; however, despite being drafted two picks apart, Judkins was the first name to be called.

How Do Former Ohio State RBs Treveyon Henderson and Quinshon Compare?
Out of the two Running Backs, according to PFF’s rankings, New England Patriots draftee Treyveon Henderson was the clear choice out of the Ohio State Group in this year’s draft.
Henderson, who went above the 1000 yards rushing mark in his final season, is a similar running back to Seattle Seahawks’ Kenneth Walker, with his most notable attributes being his pass protection, his exceptional speed, and his potential as a receiver option.
In comparison, new Cleveland Brown Quinshon Judkins, who also rushed for over 1000 yards last season, is more of a power back than Henderson. Despite Treyveon being rated by many as a significantly better pass protection option, many believe the Browns ultimately rated Judkins over Henderson primarily because of his strength and durability.
When it comes to height, Quinshon Judkins has the advantage over Treyveon, at 6’0 compared to Henderson, who is 5’10, while former Cleveland Browns Running Back, Nick Chubb, who Judkins will be replacing, is 5’11.
The major area where Judkins has the advantage is when it comes to weight. Many believe that Quinshon is more of a power back than Treyveon.
This is backed up by each running back’s weight, with Judkins recording at 221 lbs during the combine, compared to Treyveon, who recorded at 202 lbs.
Ultimately, Quinshon is much closer to Chubb at weight, and the former Browns Running Back was last recorded at 227 lbs. This is the most likely area that Cleveland was fixating on when they made their second-round pick.

Despite Cleveland’s apparent snubbing, many, including an unnamed NFL director, still believe that Treyveon is a potential Running Back 1 for any NFL franchise.
“One of the most exciting players in the draft and a very clean prospect. Home run threat every touch, who can hurt you, lining up out wide. Very dangerous in space. Multiple Pro Bowl caliber talent.” Claimed one NFL personnel Director.
The Ohio State Running Back will line up in the backfield with Rhamondre Stevenson next season, while Quinshon Judkins will most likely be the starter for the Browns.
