Top NFL Draft Landing Spots for Ohio State RB Henderson

    Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers’ hard-nosed, physical style of football is legendary, but they need explosiveness at the running back position. Najee Harris has flashed it, but the offense in Pittsburgh could use a boost. Meet Henderson.

The Ohio State standout possesses elite-level top-end speed and quick-cutting ability that would unlock Pittsburgh’s running game and complement the attack. Henderson’s one-cut mentality would have a field day in offensive coordinator Arthur Smith’s zone-dominant scheme. He’s slotted as a second-round pick, which is where the Steelers might make their move and infuse some much-needed life into their offense.

    Washington Commanders

With rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels leading the way, the Commanders are building a complementary offense. The addition of a playmaker such as Henderson would take pressure off Daniels and stretch defenses.

The Commanders have Brian Robinson Jr., but having him and Henderson together forms a thunder-and-lightning tag team that would tire defenses. Eric Bieniemy’s offense is built on versatility, and Henderson’s receiving ability makes him an ideal chess piece. Washington will strongly look at him in the late second or early third round.

    Las Vegas Raiders

Josh Jacobs is no longer with the Raiders in Las Vegas, and although Zamir White has potential, the Raiders require another backfield weapon. Henderson is a good fit for new offensive coordinator Chip Kelly’s system, providing speed and pass-catching ability that work in tandem with an emerging passing attack.

Vegas requires big-play ability, and Henderson averaged more than 5.8 yards per carry in 2024, showing he can provide exactly that. A Day 2 selection, Henderson can become an instant favorite in the Raiders’ offense.

    Kansas City Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs already have a high-powered offense, but head coach Andy Reid is a fan of do-it-all backs who can catch the ball and exploit mismatches. Henderson fits this mold perfectly.

With Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt doing most of the groundwork, Henderson might be the spark plug that keeps drives alive and opens up the playbook. The Chiefs have a late first-round pick, but more realistically, they trade down or take Henderson early in Round 2.

    Jacksonville Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence plays best with an even attack. Henderson would be the perfect complement to Travis Etienne Jr. With Etienne frequently employed in space, Henderson might be the between-the-tackles grinder that can take it the distance.

The Jaguars’ offense with Press Taylor at the helm would become more inventive with two dual-threat backs. Jacksonville is slotted to pick in the middle of Round 2, and Henderson would be the perfect pick if they want playmaking depth.
