Former Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter’s relationship with his wife, Leanna Lenee, has faced plenty of scrutiny. While they have been together for several years, there are many in the football community who have criticized the relationship. Many fans have assumed that Lenee is only in it for the money, citing clips from his Heisman Trophy win where she seemed hesitant to hug him.
Despite the outside noise, Hunter and Lenee got married in May. Rumors that the couple could get divorced started to pop up on July 19 after Lenee posted a video of her crying on TikTok. There were even rumors of infidelity in the relationship.
@leannalenee6I wish I could go back and hug December me🥹, because oh baby, God was about to change your heart in the most important and beautiful way. I don’t even recognize this girl anymore. The amount you can grown and develop in just 6 months of devoting your life to Jesus and getting away from the shackles of the world and social media is truly astounding. I wish the peace I found within Jesus on everyone who reads this. ❤️ Your identity in him matters, not how people choose to perceive you.♬ original sound – ashley hetherington
On Sunday, the IsmokeHipHop YouTube channel posted a video talking about the divorce rumors around Hunter and Lenee. In the video, he spoke about how he has tried to protect the couple, but urged them to get off social media.
“I tried to protect Travis when Leanna was crying the other day and I did a video telling them, just get off the camera,” IsmokeHipHop said (Timestamp 0:50). “It’s not bless one going viral, it’s everybody else going viral speaking about them. Leanna needs to get the h*ll off the camera. So, what happened is, there’s divorce rumors springing out there. I don’t know how true it is but I do know I warned the Hunter relationship what would happen.”

Why Was Travis Hunter’s Wife Crying in the TikTok Video?
While many people assumed Travis Hunter’s wife posting a video of her crying was a sign of their relationship being in a bad spot, that was not the case. In the caption, Lenee talked about how she wished she could go back and hug her December self.
She wrote about how she is in a much better spot now than she was six months ago. She even opened up about devoting her life to Jesus and removing herself from the shackles of social media. So, it does not appear that the divorce rumors have any credibility.
