Former Colorado Buffaloes cornerback and wide receiver Travis Hunter is preparing for the upcoming NFL Draft, but he has still found time to let the world know who he believes is the greatest NFL player of all time.

2025 NFL Draft Prospect Travis Hunter Names His NFL GOAT
During an episode of his own podcast, “Travis Hunter Show,” he was asked who the greatest of all time (GOAT) is in the NFL.
“It’s Tom Brady,” Hunter said. “He’s the greatest because people hated him.”
Hunter isn’t wrong in his explanation. Brady won seven Super Bowls in 10 appearances across his career. Many fans got tired of seeing Brady make deep playoff runs every single year.

The Patriots, without much of their own doing besides being excellent year in and year out, became one of the most hated franchises during Brady’s tenure from 2000 to 2019.
“He’s always winning,” Hunter continued. “He always found a way to win,” he said. “Hard to beat him, bro.”
The numbers back that up; Brady holds a record .754 winning percentage in games that he started across his NFL career. His 35 postseason victories are more than twice as much as the next quarterback on the list.
To add to that, Brady is first in NFL history in career passing yards (89,214) and first in passing touchdowns (649).
He also played his best in the biggest games, winning a record five Super Bowl MVPs.
His 28-3 comeback win over the Atlanta Falcons is one of the most memorable games in the history of the league. In that game, Brady finished with a staggering 43 completions on 62 attempts for 466 yards and two touchdowns.
His clutch ability was on full display during the entire second half, leading the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history by a wide margin.

As Hunter makes his way into the league, it’s clear what he believes makes a player the greatest: being so good that people begin to hate you.
The absolute domination drives fans crazy if they come to think it happens too often — Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are feeling that sentiment now, after having appeared in five of the last six Super Bowls.
The common denominator between the Patriots and Chiefs is their sustained success and the greatness of their best player — something Hunter surely hopes to strive for.
